Al reclamar su padre al violador que repare su afrenta casándose con su hija éste sólo ofrece dinero, lo que provoca un ataque al padre que le deja postrado. La joven se marcha a América, donde triunfa como artista con el nombre de Tórtola Valencia y, tras un largo tiempo, regresa y recupera el amor de su padre y de su antiguo novio.)”
